Watercolor is my favorite medium.  I like to think that I am a traditional watercolorist.  Occasionally, I must use opaque media to complete a piece of work.  I enjoy depicting rustic images of the past, whether it be an old building,  vehicle or piece of equipment.  These images remind me of my childhood in the late 40's and early 50's.  I feel these old images possess some sort of warmth.  Hopefully,  my work will help viewers experience the warmth of this period in American culture.

In recent years I have joined other artists painting plein aire.  This experience has offered a new challenge and helped me loosen up and work faster.
